Griffith Park Run

Today I completed a 15+ mile run in Griffith Park, which I would recommend for marathon training, since it has soft dirt and constant uphills and downhills. The other great part is how there are constantly great views and friendly people. Here were some of the best sights:

Downtown in the distance.
Hollywood Reservoir. At that point, I wish I could have jumped in.
Classic Hollywood sign sighting around mile 7
Griffith Observatory — free water and bathrooms right outside were a lifesaver at mile 10
Started & finished at the Merry-Go-Round parking lot.

I’ll definitely be doing this route once more before the LA Marathon because my knees feel so much better on dirt, even with the downhills at Griffith.
